This is my favourite kind of project: no kit, no instructions — just a motor, a CAD file, and a printer. The goal is a fan that is fully designed by me, part by part.

Everything here will be open source once it is ready: the 3D models, the full parts list, and what each part costs. If you want to build one, you should be able to — for free.

Step 1 First shell A 2 mm shell designed around the FMS motor — the first printed proof that the fit works.

Step 2 Solid mount shell A solid outer shell that screws directly onto the motor. Rigid, printable, and the base for everything after.

Step 3 Airflow pass Reworked the solid shell so air can actually move through it — openings, clearances, and small optimizations.
